Nor Zila Aminuddin is a popular Malaysian female singer and songwriter. Ella started her singing career as a former frontwoman for the Malaysian rock band, Ella & The Boys, before embarking her solo career in 1988.
In 1998, Ella was chosen to sing the song, Standing In The Eyes Of The World, as the official song for the 16th Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
In 2001, Malaysian Book of Records listed Ella as “Malaysia's First Artist With the Highest Number of Sold Albums” and “Malaysia's First Artist to Record a Full Album in the United States.
In 2017, Ella received thee Lifetime Achievement Award (Anugerah Khas Pencapaian Sepanjang Hayat) at the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH) 2016 for her contribution in the Malaysian music industry. She is also known as the Rock Diva Of Malay Archipelago with very strong fan following in Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia.
During the span of her music career Ella has released 11 studio albums, 2 video albums and several compilations and hit singles, the latest being a full studio album titled ‘Peace.Love.Rindu.’ Up until now, Ella is still one of the best selling female artists in Malaysia.
